Journaling

Journaling is something I've always found great pleasure in doing. Getting my thoughts and my life events on paper, or in this case, the computer gives me a sense of release of life's worries. By writing my own journal, my thoughts are mine and my writing is dictated by no one.

As a teen I found it so easy to just write. I would write out my prayers to God then look back and reflect. After I got married, I looked back to my old journals and read through. I was so depressed with my perspectives on life then. I was so embarrassed of myself that I burned them.

Since that time, when I have written, I've been more conscious of what is in my journal. This defeats the point of venting sometimes. I write only when I have something of relevance to share.

I guess on a positive note, it is nice to look back and see how far I've grown and how my perspectives have changed. We'll see how I do with this journal section.
