Getting ready for another surgery

Well, my oldest daughter Katlynn-6 is getting ready for another surgery. She has had countless shunt surgeries, due to Hydrocephalous. Now she is going to have surgery on her hip. She has struggled with her hip being slightly out of place for a few years now. The Dr. said that as long as it stayed "just slightly out of place" she would be able to compensate for it. But at her last appointment with the orthopedic surgeon they discovered that it is now very out of place. She has Spastic Cerebral Palsy, which is what has caused this to happen. So they decided that the best thing for her is to do surgery to fix the problem. They are going to loosen her tendons and place a corrective plate in her hip. She will then be in a cast for 4-6 weeks from the waist down. We have been trying to prepare her for this, but she is only six years old, there is only so much you can say to make her understand. She doesnt seem to be bothered by it too much yet. I am sure that will change the day that we go in for the surgery, which is April 9. I am just hoping that she will come through this with flying colors and that it will be the last surgery she will have to go through! Thoughts and prayers are more than welcome for my baby girl :) And i thank you ahead of time for that!

Poor baby girl, surgery in no fun. I hope it is the last one she needs. I'll keep your family in my prayers.
