Believe it or not...
We have Prevacid!!!!!
I got up this morning absolutely determined to get it for him... I
decided to try my GP first, and if he wouldn't do it, I would go to
emerg and sit there until someone did something for him.
At the GP's office, I told him exactly what had transpired with the
pediatrician, and told him how miserable Damian has been. He actually
LISTENED to me!!! He even said, "I know what she did... she looked at
the fact that he's gaining weight and developing properly, and didn't
do anything for him because she's thinking he'll grow out of it." He
was fully in agreement with me that we should try to do something more.
Not only that, despite the fact that he had never prescribed Prevacid
for an infant before, he still did it for us. He took a look at the brochure the pedi had given
me (which listed it as a possible treatment) and even listened when I
described how a friend of mine [thank-you Jennifer!!!] said she dissolved the
prevacid in water to give to her daughter. He doublechecked one of his
reference books, and promptly wrote out a prescription!
I could not be happier... we should know within the next couple of days how well this will work! Keep your fingers crossed for us!!!
