The Best Prices on Disposable Diapers Today - Blog Entry

16 Nov 2008 05:51 PM

I agree on the walmart brand diapers - they are good quality and inexpensive. However, I have made the switch to cloth diapers, and never want to go back to disposables. They are not too inconvienient, and a heck of a lot cheaper in the long run! Shellie

Anatomy of A Frugal Kid 2 - Blog Entry

24 Oct 2008 02:22 PM

I, too have frugal kids. They can't wait for the Harvest Festival at our church (free), trick or treating at the mall a day early (also free). They love things like going pumpkin picking with a hayride (the cost of the pumpkin) Then we go home and carve jack-o-lanterns and bake pumpkin bread (also just the cost of the pumpkins). Isn't it great to have kids who know the best things in life may not be free, but can be had cheap? :P

Does Your Preschooler Still Nap? - Blog Entry

24 Oct 2008 01:14 PM

My daughter napped until she was around three, however my son stopped napping around 2. I was conserned, but the doctor said as long as they are getting enough total sleep, all is well. My daughter sleeps through the night now, at age 5 and gets about 11 hours. My son needs less sleep, but still falls within range. He wakes once at night at age 3 and sleeps about a total of 9 hours. My youngest is 1 year old, and takes one 1 hour nap, and sleeps a total of 10 hours at night. Not straight through yet, but hopefully soon!!!

How Do You Sort Laundry? - Blog Entry

24 Oct 2008 08:27 AM

I sort my laundry very simply. Hot wash, Medium wash and Cold wash. Any whites and things to be washed in hot water such as socks (no matter the color) and underwear go in the Hot pile. Towels, washcloths (kitchen and bathroom), sheets, etc go in the warm category. Most clothes go in the cold, along with anything stained that I don't want to get ruined in the hot wash. Aside from the diaper laundry, that's it! Too simple? Too complicated?

6 Ways to Reuse Cereal Box Liners - Blog Entry

Also, if you make your own bread, you can store it in these bags. I do this, and it keeps the bread fresher longer due to the preservative in the bags. I also save the cardboard box for when I am making pizza, the hot pizza comes out of the oven onto the cardboard. It's sturdy enough to cut the pizza on, and you toss it when you are done (or recycle if your area supports it!) Shellie
