Return to Me (2000)

I love this movie- David Duchovny is sooo cute in it. It was nice to see the change of pace for him. It's definitely one of my top 20 movies too.

Back to the Future Part III

It definitely helps to watch it all at one time, and not think about it too much. But these movies are one of the few that didn't mess it up too bad.

Into the Woods (1991)

I second Tristi's opinion. I'd only ever watched the first half in college (my roommate never really told us there'd been a second half) so when I finally did realize there was one...I realized why we were never shown the rest of the movie. So first half good, second half, not so much :)

Look Out-We've Got a Climber!

14 Jan 2007 05:28 PM

We've got exactly the same kids (though mine are both boys)! It's amazing how very different two siblings can be. Our youngest (the same age as yours- as is our oldest :) ) is into everything constantly. I'm so glad to know its not just us that has a monkey for child, LOL.

Random Job #217: Buying Books at Thrift Stores

13 Jan 2007 09:40 AM

Wow-I've never heard of doing such a thing either-though I'm surprised that used book stores would care. It's not like the buyer is purchasing it for any less. It's so intriguing that I almost wish I had the time to apply and do it- I love shopping for books! :)

Beauty -- Robin McKinley

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this book. "Rose Daughter" is awesome as well, and I always thought it was great that McKinley could retell the story herself in two very different ways.

Ella Enchanted

01 Jan 2007 05:42 PM

I'd say ages 9 and up for Ella Enchanted (the book anyway). I don't recall anything that would be inappropriate, though it's been a while since I've read it. It's a really great story. I'd check out Gail Carson Levine's other books too. She does a great job retelling fairy tales with twist :)

Does School Start Too Early?

26 Dec 2006 01:07 PM

I think I'm still on a teenagers sleep cycle, LOL. But now that I've got a kindergartner, we've got to be up stinkin' early (He's got to be to school by 7:45 so to have enough time for breakfast). I'd LOVE it if school started and ended later. I think it would only help teens (and kids) as well.

This is sooo true. I'm glad I'm not the only one! You can always find neat little things (in fact, I just hit up Walgreens this morning!).
