That mom is doing what she thinks will stop her son from making those kinds of mystakes again, I hope it works. Good for her. Preparing for Tough Economic Times - Blog Entry21 Feb 2009 11:53 AM We use the envelope system for our expenses, including an envelope for each child for diapers, undies, socks, tooth brushes..... so my son can see how much he has, and when it's gone, it's gone. We will also be cloth diapering soon, my Dad has offered to help launder them twice a week. How Facebook Could be Bad for Your Marriage - Blog Entry20 Feb 2009 12:34 AM my husband and I avoid these by sharing the membership. When ever I comment on a friends page I allways specify that it's me, not hubby. Baby Products You Don't Need - Blog Entry05 Feb 2009 12:13 PM I have to agree with the last one especially. The diaper genie was more ofa hastle than help. I just got a garbage can with a lid. Loving Leah, Yibum and Chalitza - Blog Entry27 Jan 2009 08:24 AM I watched the movie and I think they did a good job explaining that they usually just do this other cerimony (the Chalitza) and go their seperate ways. The brother in the film stopped the cerimony half way through to say he would marry her instead. I personally understood that he was choosing something that was a bit unusual now a days. How to Encourage Creative Thinking in Your Preschooler - Blog Entry08 Jan 2009 09:08 AM Thankyou for the great ideas. My 4 yr. old has trouble sometimes, so we'll have to try some of these suggestions! Saving Money by Downgrading - Blog Entry10 Dec 2008 11:09 AM We did a mini upgrade, and are compencating by down grading other places. My husband wanted a new tree this year, we have a fake tree that is about 3 feet tall. so 2-3 strings of lights was plenty on the small tree, but leaves a bit to be desired on the big tree. Instead of buying more lights and ornaments to fill in the gaps, we are going to string popcorn and cranberries. We have some leftover crafts from last Christmas, and the kids are making us a few more ornaments. Down grading sounds negative, but if you really take a close look at everyones examples, downgrading can actually add to the quality of our day because we are spending more time together; going on walks, not having to worry about 2 other buildings in addition to the one you live in, less tv time, crafts with the kids! That all sounds like an "Upgrade" to me! When Do You Decorate for the Holidays? - Blog Entry23 Nov 2008 09:42 AM We usually decorate after Thanksgiving, but not too far into Dec. We put up our outside lights allready, because we are expecting twins, and my hubby won't really get a chance to put them up later. We haven't put up our tree yet, we wait until after Thanksgiving for that especially.
