Why can't all cashiers be friendly??

In what I call my "dream reality", all cashiers would be oozing with friendliness. They would NEVER question a coupon, nor stop to inspect it and make sure it matches precisely with the wording on the actual coupon. They would never roll their eyes or sigh heavily when you entered their line...
