I use a door-hanging shoe rack to hold all of my scissors. I have a small hardware (like nuts and bolts) organizer to hold my brads and eyelets. And I have magazine files to hold my scraps of still usable paper. I'm going out to find dishwasher racks to tack up on my wall to hold my pens. Thanks for the idea. I'll usually go in color stages. I'll go through a "sage green period" and unconsciously I'll incorporate that color in my layouts. Then it will switch to lavender. Then it will go to stripes, then polka dots, etc. It's funny to go back and look at my old layouts in order of creation and see the progression of my "stages." It is physically impossible! This must be how gamblers and impulse buyers feel. I know I have enough supplies to last me at least 1,000 layouts but I still love to collect more. I get so excited to find new coordinating patterns of designer paper. I can't leave baby themed supplies alone. I have racks and racks of paper and I still don't have enough space for it all (I blame the lack of space!) There must be others out there like me because scrapbooking is not just a quaint hobby for stay at home moms, but a multi billion dollar industry. I also have noticed that we take photos differently. Every occasion becomes a new layout idea. Every store I go into becomes a potential hidden treasure for uncommon scrapbook embellishments. I've been doing this for over 15 years and I can't imagine my life being any other way. Just mat the photo extra wide or double mat it so it will take up more space and voila! An orphan photo has found an attractive home. Even goofy or "too candid" pictures look great when lined up with other facial expressions. Faith and Religous Scrapbooking - Blog Entry13 Apr 2007 09:10 PM Thanks for the info on LDS themed scrapbook stuff. I moved out of Utah after graduating and LDS products are pretty scarce here in the South. |
