Homemade Cat Toy - Blog Entry

So cute! (And great pics, too!)

The pom-poms remind me of the "warm fuzzy" game we played in high school -- do you know about this? Basically a couple of people get a yarn pom-pom on a string necklace. If somebody does something nice, makes you smile, makes you happy, you give them the warm fuzzy! They pass the warm fuzzy on to somebody else, and so on.

Ten MORE Things to do With Essential Oils - Blog Entry

A drop or two of essential oil in your shoes shouldn't harm the material -- shoes are pretty sturdy! But if your shoes are especially delicate, you might not want to risk it. I've used geranium essential oil in my stinky sneakers with no problem... and in a pair of slippers I wasn't ready to part with. :)

I have a black thumb (instead of a green one) and just about the only thing I can grow are bulb flowers! I love gladiolas and lilies, myself.

(Did you know certain types of lilies are dangerous/poisonous to cats? I wonder if any of the other bulb plants are potentially hazardous to pets.)

How Not To Give a Cat A Bath - Blog Entry

Marjorie... you're VERY brave! I wouldn't bathe a cat unless there was money and body armor involved. :)

Homemade Gifts - Blog Entry

I'm a HUGE fan of making gifts -- but sometimes making ends up being more expensive than buying! I'm a knitter, and every other year, everybody gets a scarf for Christmas. ;)

Another nice low-cost gift is a CD of all your favorite songs. If you want to get really fancy, you can download the album cover art and print it yourself! (I didn't come up with this idea, but I received it as a gift and loved it!)
