A Story of Kai (Part III)

11 Apr 2006 01:42 PM

I'm glad to hear Kai is doing so well! Isn't it amazing how obedience training can instill such confidence in a dog? Keep us updated on his progress... you've done so much with him in such a short time!

After Your Last Cigarette

To be honest, I didn't either! It's amazing how some changes are so quick (like the carbon monoxide thing) and some take so much longer.

Things To Bring When You Walk Your Dog

Hahahaha Marley Two Poops! I used to call Miko "Leon Squatsky" because he was always stopping for a squat. Also, Crapper John, M.D.

Dance Dance Revolution: A Revolution To Your Living Room

I LOVE DDR! I'm about as graceful and coordinated as a hippo in a tutu, but I love it anyway. And would you believe there's an American Idol version where you can not only dance, but sing, too!

Your Cat's Eyes: What Can they Really See?

06 Apr 2006 01:51 PM

I had no idea cat's couldn't see what was right under their noses -- amazing! So amazing, in fact, that I called my fiancee and told him all about it too. :)

Gay Parents: Less Than Optimal?

But Kevin -- kids are going to be mean to each other regardless! You shouldn't rule out same-sex parents just because other children will be mean!

The Great Walk Exchange

Wow, Bill, I'm impressed with your dog wrangling skills! It sounds like you've got quite a traveling dog show on your hands. :)

Oh Say Can You Sing?

29 Mar 2006 02:39 PM

It is a VERY hard song to sing -- between the words and the range of the notes. I've sung it a few times for minor league baseball games and local fundraisers... and I always fear that I'll forget the words. (I was SURE I'd forgotten a part of the song the first time I sang it at the baseball stadium, because it was over so quickly, but my family assured me that I had remembered them all.)

As for where I learned it... my first grade teacher was very big on teaching us the patriotic songs -- besides the National Anthem, we learned "My Country Tis of Thee" and "America the Beautiful" and maybe some others.

I didn't know there were free e-books out there - HOORAY! (I love free, and I love books!)

Bathroom Matters

28 Mar 2006 02:26 PM

Ah, the memories - upon my first ever visit into a men's bathroom, I was VERY jealous that the boys got a "special sink" (aka the urinal!) and the girls didn't. Thank goodness I didn't try washing up in that special sink!!
