Diary of a Cat Care B&B: Kitty Pedicures

27 Mar 2008 11:07 AM

Thanks for sharing your experiences, Sarah! I'm curious about the tricks you use... at the boarding facility, we often wrap restless cats up in a towel to make a "kitty burrito" while we trim their toenails.

Does "E" Really Mean Your Car is Empty?

17 Mar 2008 02:48 PM

My car is tricky -- the gas gauge is just slightly out of alignment, so it's never all the way full after a fill-up and it's never all the way empty when it hits the E. Even so, I've managed to run out of gas a few times (and come close a few more).

Thank you for sharing your story, grandmaladybug! I hope that when it's time for my grandmother to go to a facility, we find one like the one your family chose.

Spring is the Season of Green... Barf

One of my friends suggested that it wasn't Moose but instead radioactive aliens making a landing in my living room. The splotch DOES seem to have antennae... hmmm!

Thoughts on Marriage and Monogamy

This is a very interesting what if, Court! Here are some somewhat related questions for your what-iffing: if a person can have two children and love them both equally, can a person have two mates/spouses and love them both equally too? Why do people feel like their hearts have room for many "downward" loves -- as in children -- or "upward" loves -- as in loving your parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc -- but only one "same level" love -- like a spouse?

Why Does My Cat Chatter His Teeth?

That's entirely possible too! Someday, we'll be able to ask our pets "hey, why are you doing that crazy thing?" but until then, we just have to guess. :)

I'm laughing so hard I just might squeak one out, myself!! Moose has a new tooting habit where he'll be laying near me, fast asleep and let one rip. Apparently it startles him, because he'll jump up, run a few steps, and flop back down. Heehee!

Finally! A Feel Good Story about a Stray

Sort of. Cujo is definitely braver than she was, but she's not what I'd call outgoing. She always shies away when someone reaches out to pet her (but then purrs away while you do pet her)!

Some friends of mine have a cat named Cujo -- she was very shy and quite the scaredy-cat when they got her, and hoped that giving her a "tough" name would make her a little more confident! :)
