Movie Review - "Eight Below" - Blog Entry

Oh my gosh, Lisa, there is no way you could handle this movie!! Good choice. I emailed all of my dog-loving friends and told them to beware!

I have heard others say they thought the acting was terrible but I thought it was great. It was very long. My 4 year old was a little bored but made it through. My older kids were glued to their seats, though, and didn't even want to get up for more snacks!

Ok, we saw this movie and I was TORTURED!!!!!!!! Wow, I did not think it was heartfelt, I thought it was gut-wretchingly sad. Every child and adult in the theater was sobbing through most of the movie! I really regret taking my kids to see this movie - I don't think they were ready to see such sadness, I know *I* wasn't! Wow. You coulda warned us!

Give Me Back My Big Toilet! - Blog Entry

This is the funniest thing I've read in a long time! I miss my big toilet too!!! But like all political loopholes, the tiny toilet isn't exempt! When we built our new house, or foreman taught us that if you hold down the handle, you can double the flushing capacity!!! So take THAT, government beaurocrats!!!

Bathtub Medicine - Blog Entry

The peppermint tea bags are a GREAT idea, Lisa! When I was really sick one year I overdid the peppermint and thought I was going to die. It definitely has to be used in moderation otherwise you feel like you are having a major case of the chills. It is the oddest sensation to be in a hot bathtub but feel cold on your skin!! Tea bags are probably the perfect way to regulate the amount of peppermint!
