Oh Baby!

Baby scrapbooks don’t have to cost an arm and a leg to make.  While, there are dozens of budget-busting elements you can add to your memory book, frugal crafters have affordable options as well.

For starters, the Internet is teeming with free items you can print in the comfort of your own home.  Scrapbooking websites are filled with an array of free baby book printables, including, but not limited to worksheets, special occasion pages, growth records, decorative paper, quotes and poems.

Printable worksheets allow you to document your child’s milestones in an organized manner.  For example, rather than randomly jot down information such as name origin, genealogy or your baby’s birth story, printable worksheets help you record thoughts and events in a comprehensive way.  Once you complete the sheet you can simply attach it to your layout and embellish as you desire.

In addition, finding free special occasion printables is a cinch on the Internet.  These elements range from whimsical to elegant and typically feature words and artwork that coordinate with special events, such as your baby’s baptism, Christmas, Easter, or the baby’s first birthday.  Many of these free printables include full layout options which only require photos and journaling to complete.  What’s more, these free printables often feature popular characters, such as Winnie the Pooh, Baby Mickey and Minnie and Care Bears.

To further embellish your baby book layouts, look for famous quotes to print for free, including:

“A baby fills a hole in your heart that you never knew was there.”

“Big things come in small packages.”

“A gift from Heaven.”

“Girl or boy, you’ll bring much joy.”

“Go confidently in the directions of your dreams.  Live the life you’ve imagined.”

“How cute it is.”

“Miracle in the making.”

“So this is love.”

Once you decide on a printable you can use various scrapbooking techniques to personalize your freebies.
