Name the day

For children from 2 to 3 years old. When it's evening, you may remember together with child about events of this day. Name this day. For examples, the day, when I bought my daughter shoes, we named "Day of the shoes". Maybe you visited your friends or cooked something very tasty. Of course, you may give the name to any day.

Socks

For children 2 years old. For this game you need a few pairs of socks of the different colors (4- 5 pairs). Put on a few pairs of socks on the child's feet. At first put on just smaller socks and then just little larger socks, so that previous pair of socks is not shown. You should take off socks and you child should guess color of the next socks! This game develops a child's memory.

Small pieces

For children from 2 to 2,5 years old. Draw a red lady-bug on the paper. Your child should pinch a small black piece of modelling clay (playdough) and paste it on the picture. We may use any pictures with small points (a giraffe, Dalmatian etc.) For example, your child may paste car's headlights with small modelling clay pieces. Also you may make an appliqu�¹.

Hummocks

For children from 1.5 to 2 years old. Put down some big books on the floor. At first distance between the books is approximately 10 cm. (4 in). They are hummocks. Tell your child: "These are hillocks. There is lake everywhere. You should go on the hillocks and you must not wet your feet". You may place a toy across the "lake". Your little one may help the toy to cross the "lake".

Contrast

For children from 2 to 3 years old. Put one palm of your child on your palm. Touch the fingers one after another and say: "Cold, cold, cold...". When you say: "hot", your child should take away his hand very quickly.

Sorting

For children from 2 to 2,5 years old. Put some macaroni and beans in a plate and mix them. Your child should sort macaroni and beans. For example, you may sit down two dolls on the table. Place two toy plates on the table. Tell your child: "This doll likes macaroni and that doll likes beans. Let's feed them.

Paste the same figure

For children from 2 to 2,5 years old. Draw some (3-7) simple figures on the computer. For example, cycle, square, oval, star, diamond. Print two copies. Cut out figures from one of the paper. Your child should paste these figures on the other paper = the square on the square, the oval on the oval and etc. Variants:   = Copy for cutting you may print on the color paper.

Road

For children from 1 to 1,5 years old. Put down videocassettes on the floor. Distance between lines of the videocassettes is approximately 40 cm. (16 in). The child should walk on the "road". For little child the "road" must be direct. Later you may build the twisty "road", wide or narrow. You may use audiocassettes, bricks, pencils for building the road.

Skittles and ball

For children from 1,5 to 2 years old. Put down 5-6 skittles in a line on a floor. Put down a ball near the skittles. Distance between the skittles and the ball is approximately 30 -40 cm. (12-16 in). Your child should give the ball and push on the skittles with foot or with hands. You may take a board (length is approximately 30 -40 cm.
