Hummocks

For children from 1.5 to 2 years old.

Put down some big books on the floor. At first distance between the
books is approximately 10 cm. (4 in). They are hummocks.

Tell your child: "These are hillocks. There is lake everywhere. You
should go on the hillocks and you must not wet your feet". You may
place a toy across the "lake". Your little one may help the toy to
cross the "lake". Later you may make the distance between the books
bigger. If you play on a playground, then draw the "hillocks" with
chalk.
