Have a great time in the Big Apple. I can recommend some restaurants and other stuff to do if you wish. Thanks for the comment! Media and Kids - Blog Entry22 Jan 2007 07:26 AM I could not agree more Renee. Kids should not have a tv in their bedroom and should never have a PC with internet access in there. What is really alarming is how parents seem to either not care about or are ignorant to the harm these devices can bring. Is Your Spouse into Sports? - Blog Entry22 Jan 2007 07:21 AM It was terrific. It was my first time in KC and that was an amazing experience. A great place to see a football game - it feels like a college town on gameday. Lambeau was lovely but it was cold and raining (would have loved a snow storm, that would have made it ideal!) Is Your Spouse into Sports? - Blog Entry21 Jan 2007 09:37 AM My wife is very much into sports now (baseball, football - both college and pro, hockey, and college basketball) but was not before we met. She adopted a real passion for the competition and the sheer beauty in sport (and even my fantasy football team!). When she was 5 months pregnant with our first child we embarked on a 2 day, 3 city, 3 football game trip. We were in the stands at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City for a Noon central Chiefs game then flew to St. Louis for the Rams Sunday night game. The next day we flew to Chicago and drove to Green Bay for the Packers Monday Night game (against our hometown Eagles). She is amazing and I am lucky to be able to call her my wife. Uh Oh! How Can I Tell My Spouse? - Blog Entry21 Jan 2007 09:31 AM Yikes. That is a bad situation. The last "big" mistake I made was forgetting to cancel a hotel reservation after we decided we were not going away for that particular one-night trip. It cost us about $150. My wife was a little upset, nothing major. She still pokes fun about it, which is a good thing I think in a relationship - to move on and find humor in things that, at the time, may have been an obstacle for a couple. Extra Grocery Rewards: Get Them with A Bonus Card - Blog Entry21 Jan 2007 09:26 AM It does not bother me, but I know some folks are a little freaked out by the amount of information stores will capture about them and their habits and how/if that will be used in the future and who that will be shared with down the line. These cards bug me because I do not want to sign up for every store's card under the sun and if I need to make a quick pit stop in a new part of town or while on vacation, I am forced to provide all my personal data with yet another company in order to save a few bucks while away. Ever get those cashiers who just refuse to help you out and use the store card for your $5 purchase? Transfer Music To Your Computer From Your iPod - Blog Entry21 Jan 2007 09:22 AM Hey Emily, I had never thought about this problem - luckily I would never think about deleting music off my laptop. Your friend is fortunate to call you a friend, too bad he didn't run this "great idea" by you first! All About Me Book - Blog Entry21 Jan 2007 09:19 AM Wow Lauri, You are full of great ideas today! We will surely be taking up this project as well. My wife is already an avid scrapbooker so we have a lot of material laying about the house. Thanks! Draw a Map With Your Kids - Blog Entry21 Jan 2007 09:08 AM Awesome idea Lauri. We are going to do this today! Take Your Kids to the Theater - Blog Entry20 Jan 2007 07:39 AM It sure is Yosemite! Theater is amazing and if a child has never seen a show on stage before, it can be a radically wild ride of energy and emotion. |
