Why You Should Take a Honeymoon

There are many couples that have taken luxurious long honeymoons to exotic islands and other destinations of the world. They had no doubts that their honeymoon must be to a far off wonderful place. They never imagined it any different. Then there are those couples that never had a honeymoon. For some reason or another they were cheated out. It may have been that the extra money simply was not there. It also could have been that the time off from work just simply could not happen. These couples may have taken a day or two off from work (including … Continue reading

Why Risk Yourself on A Relationship?

I was raised by my mother and my grandmother. My grandfather died the year before I was born and my mother was never in any long term relationships when I was growing up. I knew she dated one man heavily and they lived together for a brief period. She married briefly when I was ten, but I don’t think that lasted the entirety of my fifth grade year at school. It wasn’t until I was 19 that she met a man that she would then live with for the next decade and a half. They would still be together, but … Continue reading

How Long Should You Date Before You Get Married?

There’s a great discussion going on over in the forums with regard to how long you should date before you get married. I say discussion, because no one is arguing and everyone has his or her own personal experience. I don’t think there is a designated recipe that dictates exactly how long to date prior to getting married. I’ve known couples that dated for four years, limiting their contact to a couple of evenings out and maybe one evening in for months prior to engagement. I know couples who moved in together after just six months and still others that … Continue reading
