Yes, our culture focuses on the family and I think this is the reason why Jews, Greeks, and Italians seem to have similar traditions.

A Shabbat Experience - Blog Entry

If you ever have a chance to spend Shabbat in Israel or in a community which observes the Sabbath, it is quite amazing. The singing of songs which can be heard all throughout the homes and just the feeling of love and togetherness. Thanks Jaime.

HAPPY PURIM!!!! - Blog Entry

15 Mar 2006 03:57 AM

Hag Sahmeach to you Jaime! I hope you had a great Purim and Boooooed at Haman. My sisters and I use to help run the Purim carnival at our synagogue every Purim. We never dressed up as the characters, but as a clown, jail bird, fifties girl; honestly whatever costume we had from the dance recital the year before we ended up using the following Purim.

Thanks again for sharing! Now my mother-in-law bakes fresh Hamatashen, yummmmy!

I hope you received lots of Shalach Manot! Lisa

What is AD/HD? - Blog Entry

Hi Nicole,

Thank you for your great info! My experience with ADHD is with many of my former students, as well as myself.

I went to get tested at a place called, "The Center for Career Management in NJ." The woman was a therapist who conducted numerous test from general to abstract. Eye hand coordination, memory, focus tests, and hearing tests.

I never used medication for my ADHD. I was diagnosed with auditory processing as well. I was taught a different way of studying and worked to find the best environment to study in. Once I was "official" I used the accommodations I was entitled to like untimed testing, a scribe, and a tape recorder.

There is a lot of information and help for ADHD for children and adults. Thank again!
