It really sucks that institutions meant to preserve, study, and save animals from extinction can't help anymore. I know sanctuaries are a good/better idea for elephants in the long run...except who's going to fund those if the same people who support zoos can't raise the capital to help the zoos? Kind of wild.

And as for the polar bears...I don't know what to make of it all. Time's really going to tell who was telling the truth and who wasn't I guess with all this eco stuff.

If I had it to do all over again, I'd elope and get married in my bathing suit on a beach, play volleyball all afternoon as our party, then have cake. (sans the topper this time, but I love sweets so I'd want a cake. ;)

Too much time + too much money + too little responsibility = clueless kids. That's what Heidi and Spencer are. (Or Speidi as they're also refered to, which cracks me up.) And I'm glad I can make money writing about them too! I guess they're good for that!!! =)

Great article, Pam. It's so sad anyone would want to abandon a child no matter what the age, but as it happens with animals in the wild I guess so too it happens with humans. And I had no idea all states had such laws like these. Crazy they're needed in one respect, but also good they're there too. I just wonder if people know about them. (The people who might need to use them that is.)
