Don't worry about bottling it up inside. Let others see your pain. Let them know it's hard for you to go on. Seek out a support group if possible. Don't be afraid to show these harsh emotions. Be brave and cry, cry, cry as much as you need to in front of whoever happens to be there when you feel like crying. My heart is with you. May your heart one day know peace. Spouses and Past Lives - Blog Entry11 Nov 2008 01:09 PM What's so weird, usually I'm the one in tune and he just laughs at me. Like when we first went to St. Augustine. I got chills as we drove into the historic section and, much as he mumbled to himself when we past the Stones River cemetery, I said, "Here there be ghosts." But anything Civil War seems to really get to him and stir up unpleasant feelings. I felt nothing for a change. But this time he was the one convinced we were surrounded by ghosts. Weird. Thanks for the comment, Libby! Hurt Paw = Sympathy Windfall - Blog Entry11 Nov 2008 08:37 AM Oh that is too cute, Laura. Dogs are sure funny about what they'll steal or think should be their toy, aren't they? If any of our friends' kids bring over their stuffed toys with them when they visit, Murph sees the toys as fair game. After all, surely they must have meant to bring him a gift! (I can't understand why he thinks that way. Just because from the moment we first got him and friends came to see the new puppy they came with gifts for him? And that hasn't stopped over the years? No, that shouldn't make him think all toys are for him, should it?) How Not to Walk Your Dogs - Blog Entry10 Nov 2008 02:19 PM I am guilty of being one of the people you sometimes encounter, Aimee. However, in my defense, I don't honestly try to upset the other person. I wll stay on my side of the street if I see a dog is truly upset and aggressive. But most times I find the dogs are just barking because they want to meet and calm down when I let them meet Murph. I have never stalked someone though like you had happen. If I can see they're trying to ditch me I let them go on ahead or find another way. And as for your incident, DrNewMom...oh my gosh! That's nuts! I'd be so mad if someone intentionally tried to upset my dogs. Man, people get kookier by the minute! What Would You Force Your Spouse To Do? - Blog Entry07 Nov 2008 02:28 PM I'm still not going to get a tattoo to conquer my fears, HOWEVER I really dug the mantra you invoked and might adopt that into my therapy. Thanks for the tip! Six Reasons Why You'll Never Regret Adopting a Dog - Blog Entry07 Nov 2008 08:26 AM Again, Samual, you have enlightened us about the plight of dogs overseas. Hmmm....I think you may have inspired a new series. "A Dog's Life in England.... A Dog's Life in France..." Yep, once the title's formed it's only a matter of time before the article will follow! Thanks for the inspiration!! =) What's This about the Obamas Getting a Puppy? - Blog Entry07 Nov 2008 08:25 AM Oh, and I forgot to say what a lovely sentiment about harmony and dogs you wrote, Memartha!
