Steve Fossett Declared Dead - Blog Entry

16 Feb 2008 03:07 PM

Isn't this so sad? He was kind of eccentric in his own way, but inspiring in another because he had such a great sense of adventure. I kept hoping they'd find him. Even when I heard they'd declared him legally dead earlier this a.m. I thought, "I sure hope they do find him one day. Preferably alive and somehow with an amazing tale of survival, but at least his remains so they know for sure he's gone."

I will miss hearing about what record he's got his sites on breaking next. It was fun to follow Fossett's Follies.

To Declaw or Not to Declaw, That is the Question - Blog Entry

Long live our cats! Tab's still not declawed and I've adapted to giving her "claw days."

And here's to hoping I have the honor of saying my cats live as long as yours!

Six More Ways to Start the Day Right - Blog Entry

Having a hard time "just" these days? Try every day! Not a morning person, and the cats don't make it any easier. They love nothing more than snuggling up next to me when I open my eyes...which promptly puts me right back to sleep!

How Do You Feel about Valentine's Day? - Blog Entry

I think you're right, Lyn. I think sometimes people do say they don't want something or don't celebrate to try and convince themselves of a lie. Brilliant point!

Are You the Biggest Problem in Your Relationship's Difficulties? - Blog Entry

You bring up a most excellent point, Dale. We do change as we grow older and sometimes it takes more work than others to accept those changes, adapt to them, and remember there's a person inside we love very dearly.

I agree about the laughter and letting things fly. Yesterday I got confused about what time I was supposed to pick my husband up from the airport. I had it in my head I had to leave the house at 3:20, when in fact his plane arrived at 3:20. Needless to say he was stuck waiting in the cold for about 20 minutes. Luckily, he knows I both have a tendency to be late AND confused so he teased me about it and let it go....after he defrosted. ;)

Dale, I sure envy people with your disposition! I am SUCH a hothead. When I'm mad I lose rationality until I can settle back down again. But luckily Wayne understands this about me now. PHEW! Hey, now I'm going to go check out your blog...

From the sounds of it, it's amazing those dogs can be as focused as they are then with all hubbub going on around them. WOW!

I need Wayne's help administering it, but he hasn't had time lately. Also, he's afraid I'm going to make him wear the face mask. But as soon as I can get Murph tested, I'll post the results! (And if Wayne survived wearing the face mask. He's right. I AM planning on making him wear it.)
