"When Are You Going to Have Kids?" - Blog Entry

Here, Here! Well put, JadeWalker.

When Wayne and I first visited TN several years back we flew in to Nashville, rented a car and drove to Knoxville. On our way we saw this old station wagon pulling an even older camper. Those rounded aluminum tin kind that never fail to remind me of sardine cans.

Anyway, the guy had a classic sign on the back of the camper which sums it all up succinctly: If you can't feed 'em, don't breed 'em.

Every once in a while when I'm feeling ornery I'll use this one....

I'm not a Christian, but I do respect those who are and their beliefs. I have to admit even I was appalled by her comments. Then again I'm appalled she's become as popular as she has period. I find her highly annoying and obnoxious. Part of me is hoping this will be the downfall of her once and for all.

Digital Photography 101: Picking The Perfect Camera - Blog Entry

20 Sep 2007 03:06 PM

Thank you for this most informative blog! I'm getting ready to purchase my very first ever digital camera. (I'm still using film, but since I do so much on the computer with photos these days rather than waiting to develop them I want to have something I can transfer right to my computer.) This was very helpful.

Did You Get Your Wii? - Blog Entry

By far I am playing it the most. Yes, I would change the fact that even though I am playing it the most my dang husband still whips my booty on the tennis game!!!! (Our favorite...and one day I will master it and defeat him!)

Are Teachers Over Paid? - Blog Entry

18 Sep 2007 02:25 PM

I agree with babydawn. I'm not a teacher, but many of my friends are. They are everyday heroes to the kids in their classrooms just like many NFL, NBA, NHL, etc. stars. Yet, where's their million dollar deals? Where's their endorsements? It's shameful what we put money in (and cut money from) and what we totally ignore...those who educate our kids, the ones who will inherit our country. Seems those guiding them should be as well compensated as possible.

Ooops! I referenced Gillian's blog but had somehow missed Heather's that also deals with these gifts: http://marriage.families.com/blog/anniversary-notes-what-do-you-give-when. Sorry Heather if you read this. I did a search on something else and stumbled across it so I thought the least I could do was mention it here.

Test Your Dog's Intelligence - Blog Entry

Your article reminded me of a game Murph and me used to play...hide and seek treats. We played that last night for the first time in a while, and he LOVED it. I swear it was as if he was saying, "I remember this game, Mom! Why haven't we played it in so long?"

Next us is to try the treat-under-the-can game... Sounds fun. New challenge for Murph. He's actually pretty smart. (Does all 3 of the other brain teasers you wrote.) I like looking for new ways to challenge him. Thanks for new tips!!!!
