Thanks so much Michele! Wow. What nice compliments. I'm so flattered! I so don't see myself that way. The view from your eyes is much neater!!

Thanks for all the comments, the friendship, and the support. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas too. (But don't be surprised if you still see me lurking around here posting comments and such. ;)

After the Wedding: Keep the Dress or Sell It?

12 Dec 2008 10:26 AM

I like that you donated your dress Mary Ann! That's a happy story.

And 1stTimeMomof2...if you spilled anything on your dress during your wedding, or suspect you might have and truly want to perserve your dress, I'd highly recommend getting it cleaned. Although...I know how easy it is to say you will, mean to, but let it sit in the closet. And you cracked me up about hoping your daughter will be more blessed in the height and chest area! That's hysterical!

Animals Have Emotions, Too

Thanks for sharing the story of your mastiff, Cathy! Wonderful! I agree...animals are full of some of the purest emotions out there. I will never understand the people who think they have none.

Why Do People Think of Marriage as Hard Work?

09 Dec 2008 10:48 AM

I don't understand why people freak out once they're "officially" married and fall apart as a couple either Samual. Especially when they've been together for quite a while before that. Never had understood that.

And I don't disagree the 20-something isn't ready for marriage yet either, Jade. She sounded way too immature and selfish to be ready for a relationship.

As for the work thing...I'll just agree to disagree. I see your point, and while I don't find all work daunting or dreadful and do find pleasure in it, I still think people put a mostly negative connotation on it when they say "marriage is hard work."

Rehabilitating Murphy

08 Dec 2008 09:48 AM

Cathy, I love the distraction idea and am going to give that one a go. Samual, even though Murph didn't break his leg, he did have to get a plate in and the cast for 2 months and now this splint business. Sounds EXACTLY like what your dog went thrrough! And it was even the right paw! It's good to know eventually he WILL walk on it again. It's just going to take time and he may always favor it.
