Mary Ann's Busted

22 Sep 2008 09:26 AM

I just now stumbled across this article, Libby, and at first thought you were writing about our fellow blogger Mary Ann Romans. I was like, "What the heck did Mary Ann do? She doesn't seem like she'd ever be in trouble!" HAHAHAHHAHA Laughing now that I know it's a way different Mary Ann you had written about.

The Newlywed and Not-So-Newlywed Game

The "floaty" stage? I've never heard of that! But I think I understand what it is and you raise a most excellent point, Jade.

Yoiu know, Dale, in a way that's a very good lesson right there. Okay, so you don't always remember all the details. That's actually good, and probably why you and Mick have made it so far. You guys always keep the most important thing in mind and the rest? Well, it's all part of it, but not the most important thing. Not being able to remember has its advantages for the bad stuff is what I'm getting at. There's a lot to be said for letting go. (Of bad stuff, but holding on for the long haul.)

That is an excellent question, Jade. Short answer, no. But your question just inspired a new blog. (Go figure!)

Yes she is, and you are so right about the reminders, Dale. Thanks for the comment.

Well I liked how YOU phrased it,Tristi: "It's not a contest we're out to win." It's funny how sometimes that's what it turns into isn't? (Well more often than not.) I am bound and determined to remember not to make it into such in the future.

Appreciating Pet Photographers

I'm with you, Aimee! They make it look so easy, don't they? Wayne tried to get one of all the three of us together not too long ago. (Of me, Murph and the cats, that is.) HA! Fat chance. He has even less patience than them. And I've been trying to get good photos of just Murph or the cats...HARD! It really is something to be appreciated how those pet photogs get some of the pics they get.

Wow. That's a lot of scooping! And a lot of lifting. You for sure got muscles just from lifting all that litter!!!

Forgotten Anniversary

19 Sep 2008 08:53 AM

Oh no, Beth, what a funny story! I had to laugh because I've always felt I would be the one of the two of us to forget the anniversary, but...Hasn't happened yet. There's still time. And Alzheimer's/dementia runs in my family so if he sticks with me long enough I guess it might happen that way! Thanks for the wishes on Murph too. I got to pick him up today but he's got a strict recovery schedule in front of him. Poor boy. But at least he's back with us. Missed him! Thanks again for your comment.

7 cats??? Holy crumb! How many cat boxes do you have? That's a BIG chore in and of itself. Even when I worked cooking, dishes, and most cleaning fell to me. Wayne sometimes mopped and he did help with grocery shopping though. He's always been in charge of the yard. That's kind of his "dishwasher" thing. He has a very particular way of mowing and I don't do it right ever. (Even though to me I feel I do it exactly the same way he does.) Of well. He allows me my dishwasher quirk so I allow him his yard quirk.
