Well, it's nice you have a spot she feels comfortable. But boy howdy do I understand thinking you won't be able to talk your husband into keeping a cat...or two! I hope it all works out. Do you know if whoever lived in the house before you had pets? Maybe they left her behind? (Although, you'd think someone would know that and tell you.) Hopefully when it does come time to have her litter she'll do so at her rightful owner's property...if she has one. But if you think she might truly be scouting out your place, maybe it'd be nice for her and the kittens sake if you could at least make them a safe spot. Under a deck? (If you have one.) Behind a shed...even in some bushes. I know, I know...that's the last thing you need to juggle, making a maternity ward for a stray. But it sure would be a nice thing in the long run. And you never know...sometimes strays pick us for a reason. That cat might be an angel in disguise and bring you blessings you can't even imagine. (And I don't mean a herd of little kitlets to care for. However, being witness to the miracle of life is remarkable.)
