So far I don't, but who knows how I'll feel 10 or 20 years from now? Right now I don't want to change anything on that front, BUT...I do want to get more involved. If not with kids, with animals or in some way making the world a better place. That's what really all of my ponderings have made me realize lately. Thanks for your comments (as usual), Jade. Another Reason I'm Married Without Children08 Apr 2008 08:36 AM Michele, as usual your words sing in my ears. I can just HEAR you saying this out loud. Thanks for the laugh. (And the poignant truth!) deedee1231, this is a great comment that stuck with me all yesterday and which I will be reflecting on in another blog thanks to a plaque I saw bearing a similar wisdom. So thanks for both the insight and inspiration! And Valorie...you're welcome. ;) What If Animals Hadn't Been Okay?08 Apr 2008 08:31 AM You know, a lot of this also comes in to play with my decisions not to have kids, BJC333. Except I don't always remember it right away. I always think of the more selfish reasons I have for not wanting kids, but there is another part of me that knows what a huge responsibility it is and who the heck do I think I am to undertake it properly? And also the environment weighs heavy on my mind. I see all the people and the dwindling resources and I have to admit a statement you made has crossed my mind more than once too. ("Who determined that we are the most important of God's creatures? Having children is not a right. It's a priviledge. And just because we can doesn't mean we should.") Very insightful. (And deep!) Thanks so much for sharing! Tabby, Murphy, and Mr. Meow: What If...?07 Apr 2008 08:30 AM Thank you for such a humbling and warm compliment, 1Adele. It's nice to meet someone else who relates to the feeling I was describing. How they melt us with their loyalty and love. Sounds like you and your hubby are blessed with that too! How Wayne Welcomed His Mother-in-Law04 Apr 2008 12:38 PM Oh yeah, Jade, he's truly a fish and catch is the appropriate word! (He's a swimmer and loves the water so even though that's a bit of a cliche saying, he truly is a "catch.") And Michele, WOW! You are SOOOOO clever! For sure no more Target for Wayne! How could I ever possibly make that threat again. Thanks for the laugh! The Pick-Up Police03 Apr 2008 08:24 AM Aimee, great minds think alike! I had this very same idea in mind to write about inspired by people in my neighborhood who also don't pick up poop. I'll write too about some ideas I had and for sure reference this article because this is GREAT! Hysterical, clever article about a perturbing issue. Marriage Week in Review: March 24-March 3002 Apr 2008 08:52 AM Lyn, you did a GREAT job while I was away. Sorry I had to leave you flying solo for so long. I look forward to catching up on reading all your great articles. Thanks for all your support. You're a wonderful blogging partner!! =) Big Changes in a Little Marriage02 Apr 2008 08:20 AM Thanks so much for your comments, prayers, and well wishes, Dale and Jade! It's people like you and Michele and all the rest at Families.com that really put the "Family" in the name. Thank you so much. Your comments mean more to me than I can express and all I know how to say is thank you. The Personal Pet Therapy Project01 Apr 2008 03:00 PM Thanks Aimee! Here's hoping the pets distract her from her other worries and maybe help her heal! Big Changes in a Little Marriage01 Apr 2008 02:59 PM Thanks Michele! We're just getting her set up with doctors here so as of now we're not on a regimen yet. (Her TN plan went into effect April 1 so today I've been calling around to see who's accepting new patients, etc.) Wayne's been awesome. As usual.
