Knowing someone like aunt Aimee would be there to take some extra time loving on them would ease my stress at leaving them behind. As Lyn addressed in her article, we're one of those couple who said we would and never did. Now it's a big ol' moot issue. A trip is just a trip after you've been married a long time. A honeymoon truly only comes after the wedding. And knowing now what I didn't know then, I would have spent a LOT more time making sure we went somewhere rather than throwing a party. (Which was fun and not elaborate at all, but I would've preferred getting all excited and putting my energy into planning an awesome getaway instead.) And this appeals to my frugal side. Even though I still liked Michele's argument about just as much coastline in Ireland as Brazil... But when I think about it costing me more, then I would not enjoy it and would feel guilty for going first. Dang it. This might just be what sways the decision ball from stuck to in his favor.
