03 Oct 2006 10:08 AM COPYING ANTIQUE & Valuable photographs by photographer1When you want to copy antique and valuable or sentimental photographs, before you send them out or bring them to the store, do this: Make simple copies with your regular digital or regular camera. You can even use a disposable camera. The pictures don't have to be perfect, just copies for your memories. THere have been many times when stores and or photographers have lost photos and if this happens to you , there is nothing you can do about it. So, prepare ahead of time and copy your photographs before you bring them for copies. These pictures here have been taken with a small digital camera.
It' s 2 megapixels but it's good for copying photographs and taking pictures. Here are some samples of copies of objects and pictures and a painting.
This copy of the tree and tent is an ink drawing on a sketchbook page.
This copy photo of the little boat is a copy photo of an object, a small wooden boat. The background is a simple plastic notebook. The photo is clearer than some of the other photographs (clearer than the rainbow picture) partially because the lighting was different and better. The lighting used for this boat was a Tensor (full-spectrum) light, a small portable one that was purchased at Staples office supply store for under thirty-five dollars.
