What an ordeal! Indeed, NJ, NY, and CA have the nation's "least friendly" child custody laws. The child must practically be beaten before those states will intervene.

Designer Babies - yes or no?

This all depends on the local laws. The police will probably have no power to do anything if there is not an immediate danger to health or safety.
