Let's Talk About Having a Bicornuate Uterus - Blog Entry

I am 27 years old and also found out while I was pregnant that I had a bicornuate uterus. At that time I had no idea what that meant, and on top of that....found out that the baby was also tubal. Due to the baby being in the tube, I was rushed in for an emergency surgery & of course, the baby could not be saved. After healing from surgery, I jumped online to read up more on my "split uterus" that at that time, the doctor only said it means its "heart shaped" and I would be more likely to carry twins...what she didnt tell me...was all the not so good things that go along with it. As I began reading..my heart started sinking more and more until I read a lot of encouraging stories on this site. Its been almost a year now, and my doctor says its safe to start trying again.....wish us luck!!!!
