Exclusivity Or Not? - Blog Entry

Each time you study one passage of the Bible, you gain more insight and understanding.

Sharing Bible studies with friends from other Christian religions is always interesting to see others interpretations to passages.

14 Year Old Plotting Columbine-Like Attack Was Homeschooled - Blog Entry

Very, very sad!

Let's face it in every home there are weapons - scissors, baseball bats, sharp knives, a board, a table leg, electrical cords, rope.

Anything can be used as a weapon, it does not have to be a gun.

Very sad that this child did not get the help he needed.

Yes, environment must have had an impact on this child. Some kids, though, are born evil and unstable that is consistent throughout their lives.

Milk Prices Still Creeping Up - Blog Entry

11 Oct 2007 05:39 PM

Gallons of milk are expensive.

I was filling up the car tonight with gas at the gas station, that in and of itself, seems to take a major bank loan. It is expensive.

Guess what is on sale at that gas station this week? 1% and 2% gallons of milk for $2.25 per gallon.

You'd have thought I won the lottery!

The 2% Riot - Blog Entry

Growing up, the local dairy would deliver whole milk in glass gallon jugs on the front porch. The cream would rise to the top. Real cream. I can remember those days well.

Yes, we are a skim milk family too. Have been for several years. Putting whole milk in my morning coffee makes it seem like a luxury.

If 1% or 2% are on a big sale, I'll be a few gallons of them. Otherwise, skim milk all the way.

George Clooney Supports Suspended Hospital Staff - Blog Entry

George is eye candy, but that's about it.

Have to say that those hospital staff individuals, who broke patient confidentiality do deserve to be fired. Each year, as a hospital employee, I have to sign a contract about patient confidentiality. If they did this to George, just imagine when their co-worker or nextdoor neighbor goes in for a hysterectomy or back surgery. Nothing is private then.

With my position at work, I have a great wide access to many things. I also do know to keep my mind on the work on my area 'period.' Everywhere I look on the computer at work, has my name all over it and proof that is very easy to track. People at my hospital have been fired years back for the very same act.

Nice of George to tell them not to fire staff, but what they did was break the law and they deserve to be fired.

Pink is The Color this month. We are having lots of photos in the newspapers of "real men wear pink on Fridays in October."

Panera Bread today, I even had a bagel designated as for Breast Cancer month with a donation of each one sold going to charity.

DH and I discussed this tonight on the way home from work. He has red hair (pretty red, more gray) and pink is not his color. He would not wear pink, but does support never the less.

I'm seeing lots of pink on Fridays. We all need to support each other.

Thank you for bringing up this point!

Changing Pediatricians or Doctors - Blog Entry

10 Oct 2007 07:46 PM

Exellent points, Kori! We had our boys pediatrician from birth. She was a female pediatrician, grandmotherly and we all liked her for her common sense approach.

In later grade school, our insurance plan changed just as our pediatrician was retiring. We needed to locate a new doctor for the boys that was great with kids but also one that we could have them grow into high school and beyond with. Both boys preferred to go see a male doctor, being that they were in adolescence. I also wanted one that had children himself, and had that personal experience of being up all night with a son or daughter vomiting.

The boys have been very happy with their new doctor.
