I do not believe anywhere in the Bible specifies his garment or jewelry as that. However.....truly those are religious garments. Just the same as the purity ring is a religious piece of jewelry. If exceptions are made for Muslim students, the same should hold true for Christian students. If there are 5 pieces of pie and 6 people, suddenly Mom isn't hungry for pie for dessert. Kids grow out of clothes, getting new ones that fit (or hand-me-downs that fit) and Mom keeps wearing that same winter coat. Those are simple examples....but what each of us do daily for our babies! You know, some people have the pre-conceived notion that when the honeymoon phase is over, so is the marriage. Marriage has its ups and downs, and a divorce is very sad. The older that our children became, the more difficult it is to squeeze into one room w/ one bathroom. The connected rooms or family suites really make it easier. Do you remember hearing about those days? Since I also work outside the home fulltime, and have other responsibilities with my elderly parents, we do it as we are able. If it is in parts, that is good. If it is cleaning the entire house at once, that is good. I do not intend to have on my tombstone this epitaph: "She kept her home spotless every day!" That is much different than handling a pre-teen. Having survived myself w/ two teenaged boys, whatever parenting technique she is using to redirect the 12 yo is not working. Having mothered 2 teenaged boys, I can truthfully say, that while a mother is a wonderful thing to have, a teenaged boy or a pre-teen boy does need a father image for parenting and guidance. This is just a prime example of what I have been sharing.
