05 Jul 2006 06:09 PM 7/5/06 WednesdayHello! It's 7/5/06. Wednesday. The day after 4th of July, 2006. Lucky me, I had yesterday off for the holiday and today off work too. I did have to work Monday, and then again Thursday & Friday. Little Bit About Me: ***I am blessed with a DH of 25 years, and two sons (17, going to be a senior in h.s. and 20, going to be a junior in college). I also help to care for my elderly parents, who just over two months ago, moved to a senior high rise. I work full-time, plus being a wife, mother, and daughter. Also are active with church and Boy Scouts. That has pretty much kept me busy as of lately. ***My hobbies are scrapbooking, couponing, crafts, cooking & baking. Adventures from 7/5/06: ***I did something new today. Had my 1st professional pedicure. Ohhh La La! I have bea---utiful little piggies now. Makes a lady feel very pampered. ***Another fun adventure today was locating some new scrapbooking stores locally. I did the Google search. 1st one had arts & crafts...no scrappbooking as described. 2nd one had free cutting w/ paper purchased at their store and I spent a good hour there cutting and organizing the pieces. My favorites were sandcastles and little foot prints, snowflake punches, eagles & curly cues (Scouts), football (DS#2), banners, and photo frames. The photo frames were actually what I was searching for. 3rd one....well, I never did locate it. After wasting gas at $2.98....now up to $3.09....decided to run over and get my pedicure done. ***Dinner was easy tonight. Leftovers from 4th of July big feast. BBQ rib meat that DH had deboned, mustard potato salad, fresh veggies, and more. Finished the last of our yummy ice cream dessert w/ crushed Oreos, hot fudge sauce, Cool Whip, and nuts. Quote of the Day: "To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded." Ralph Waldo Emerson
Bible Verse of the Day: O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! Psalm 8:9/KJV
