7/6/06 Thursday. Purple Truck. Bow Flex.

Hi!

Just got home from work and walked in the door.  DH and I drove home from work and picked up the purple truck, from the auto repair shop.  $2xx.xx charge for some brake and tire repair.  Arrived right on schedule so that DS#2, football player, could take the purple truck over to weight lifting at the local h.s.   You might be wondering why we have a purple truck - school colors.  'nuff said about that.

DS#1 had AM college classes and this was the big day the Bow Flex was delivered.  How exciting.  It's in the garage, where there is plenty of room to move.  The heavy barbell weights have been moved to the side and now the Bow Flex has the 'place of honor' in the garage.  Teenaged boys love to weight lift.  Gotta have those 6 pack abs.

(Me?  I'd just love to have a 1 pack and get rid of the 'keg'.  *giggles*)  I have seen those commercials on TV about Bow Flex:  'go from a plus sized into a size 2 in just 30 days.'  Amazing.  I'll let you know about that.

Topic of the day:   Rude drivers during rush hour.  Nasty folks. They must have their undies scrunched up somewhere very uncomfortable.

DH drove both of us to work.  Making a right hand turn, there was a lady was in the cross walk, when we had a green light and the crosswalk for pedestrians showed the red sign, "No crossing at this time."  Well, she walked in the cross walk anyway.  DH stopped in his right hand turn to avoid hitting her.  He was not going fast.  Apparently this greatly annoyed the driver behind us.  As the driver behind us started making obscene gestures and screaming nasty words at DH.  It wasn't pretty.  Guess our alternative would have been to hit the lady in the cross walk.

That is another good reason to keep those car windows rolled up and the air conditioning on full blast.

I always carry my emergency inhaler with me at work, as a precaution with my asthma.  This morning, I walked out without my earrings and my inhaler.  I had no problems breathing today.   Must have had a guardian angel.

Dinner:  Still enjoying leftovers from the 4th of July.  So good.  So easy.

Quote of the Day:

"Most folks are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.

Abraham Lincoln (1809-1865)

  Bible Verse of the Day:

" Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. "  - Matthew 24:35

Have an enjoyable summer evening!

Angie
