Smart kids, not always the "sharpest tools in the shed"!

I'm not one of those parents that brag about how smart my son is but he has the test scores to back me up if i did. So why is it that my son is in all advanced classes, he is first chair tenor saxiphone and he reads more books in a year than i have in almost 40 years in my live yet i am scared that he will hurt himself just walking across the yard. Some people might say its selective thinking.
