Depression topic

I have a 19 year old daughter and 7 month old granddaughter.  Ten months ago I also had a child.  He is wonderful.  I was being treated for pre and postpartum depression.  I feel I was not being medicated correctly.  In May I was admitted to the hospital with depression/addiction.  My discharge diagnosis was bi-polar with addiction.

mcmama, Doint great! My son is almost 2 now and keeping me very busy. My disorder has been very stable for about 15 months now and I feel wonderful. How are you doing?

My hospitalization was really a great experience believe it or not. They correctly diagnosed my, changed my medications and it has made all the difference in the world.

Why Camp?

I go camping to Lake George in New York the last week in August. I am going this year, but am a little hesitant. I now have a ten month old son.

Are you to affected by Bipolar Disorder?

I am the one with bi-polar disorder. With the correct medication I feel fantastic. I also see a therapist, psychiatrist for medication and a group therapy session.

How were You Disgnosed?

I was diagnosed while I was inpatient for depression/addiction (to anxiety medication) after pre/postpartum. My discharging diagnosis was bi-polar/addiction.
