Given the topic, I thought that your readers would be interested in a blog posting from the Rudd Center for Food Policy and Obesity blog(www.ruddsoundbites.com), which talks about how TV cooking show host Rachel Ray is currently a spokesperson for both the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, which seeks to improve the food environment for children and families, as well for Dunkin Donuts. Where are the cooking shows that clearly and consistently provide information on cooking healthy meals for families? In addition to the mixed messages coming from cooking shows, it seems that many people watch cooking shows, but never actually cook anything. It's like watching professional sports, but never actually playing sports with your friends or family. I'm curious to here your thoughts on that as well. Finally, I wanted to second your support of bean soup as a full meal! |
