How to Stop Night Waking - Blog Entry

09 Apr 2009 08:03 AM

Ellamae had an awful night last night! It is a whole combination of things....I think. We just had a long un-planned emotional weekend at my moms & she refused to sleep in the pack n' play and was very restless. She is getting her 2 year old molars & her poor cheeks are soooooo red & sore. Well last night she refused to sleep in her crib & I was sick. I really needed to be sleeping next to the toilet but Ellamae would not leave my side no matter how tired she was. I am interested in your future blogs regarding how to fix this! I do not agree with the cry it out method in babies but I think Ellamae is getting old enough to cry a little. But she screams at the top of her lungs soooo hard she gags herself. Crying herself to sleep does not happen.

It is probably less prayer and more just day dreaming :)

I do sometimes and lately it seems to be more often. Not b/c I want to be rich but for a sense stability. I think it would be nice to have enough for retirement, college, and a small home. It would be nice sometimes to not have the stress. Right now it would be nice to slow down and enjoy life!

I tried Nair once and it was soooo harsh on my skin. Who knows what I will think when my daughter is a teenager but I would say up until the age of 15 you could try and find suits that cover. I don't think I would mind at all if she was 16+ and had a reason to.

When I was in school we had a swimming for PE with standard suits that were provided for us, color coded by size. Everybody then new you were wearing the "fat suit" and if you were hairy! It was always the most embarrassing thing and yes kids were teased. If needed I would help my daughter out, whether it be Nair, wax, shave, etc.

First you have to have a wireless internet conection if you don't you can get an Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector for your computer. Check your Wii manual to set up the conection to work with the Wii.

Then you have to have a game that has this feature. The game box will have a blue Wi-Fi symbol usually on the upper left corner. You will then need to check the game manual for instructions.

Also your Wii has a hard drive on it and you can download games, old and new, from nintendo. We have downloaded a few of our favorite old Nintendo games.

I kept all the doors to the staircases closed so Ellamae couldn't find them. But she discovered them when on Christmas vacation at my moms (about 11 months). Teaching her to go down was hard. Because she was already an established walker I tried to teach her to scoot down on her butt. But I soon learned b/c we have wooden staircases it was better for her to kind of crawl backwards feeling with her foot for each step. I still stay very close to her b/c it is so easy for her to loose her footing on our stairs and it has saved a couple of possible falls. We still have a hard time when we go somewhere with carpeted stairs b/c she thinks she can just run down them.

My dh's grandparents play Wii Sports with us too! Only certian games you are able to play over the internet, but you can play with other family & friends over the internet as long as you have there friend code. That way you are playing with people you know & makes it less scary but more fun! The Nintendo DS works the same way too.

Would You Allow Your Teen Daughter to Get a Bikini Wax? - Blog Entry

For me it isn't worth the pain! And I avoid swim suits that don't cover the area and I stay in the water or cover the instant I am out. But I think it is my right to wax, shave, or pluck, any hair on my body that I want! But to ban it, that's ridiculous.

I'm don't think I would allow my daughter to do a Brazilian wax but maybe just a bikini wax given she had a reason to. Which if she is like me....she will!
