Having Fun at a Farmer's Market - Blog Entry

15 Apr 2009 02:01 PM

Here markets aren't seasonal, farmers markets are either held weekly or bi-weekly, all out door as well. Where we live the farmers market is only every other saturday, which is a bit disappointing. Ostrich eggs are my favourite part, the children like a particular stall where the farmer makes little wooden animals. I have a question though, you mention that only some have organic meat, here all products at a farmers market must be organic and free range.

Surely it is more creepy that total strangers take pictures of her then sell them to equally creepy people for gorpers to buy in magazines or to trawl the internet for.

The makers of the school rules clearer either don't know or don't care that your diet should consist of 60% carbs. Hopefully in the future she will make up her own mind about religion instead of feeling obliged to only share her parents beliefs.

As I speak Cymraeg and English, so do our children, Frank however doesn't speak Cymraeg and he spends a lot more time with the children than I so they hear mainly English, he uses a BBC device over the internet which has different classes, for different abilities and ages, if the children are playing he will sometimes put on a tv show in Cymraeg too.

Starrlight, you shouldn't shave that area, it can very easily lead to abscesses which requite hospital attention.

If a child is quite hairy and they are bothered about it, I can understand allowing them to remove hair earlier than most would, like leg, armpit and eyebrows, but I don't see a need for such a young person to have their bikini line waxed even if they have developed hair down there, unless you buy your daughter an inappropriate swimming costume no one is going to see it. I think there should be an age limit for things like this, if you are younger than the limit but are overly hairy, you can always have laser hair removal at hospital, which in the UK is done for free, or if your body has entered puberty too early, you can be given medications to halt it until a later age.

Them not being married has never bothered me, it isn't something I've ever really put any thought in to.

Babies and Stair Climbing - Blog Entry

Pippa is in the love with the stairs, since she was 8 months old she has been going up and down, up and down, she will still sometimes go up and down several times before she gets bored. She still isn't allowed to do it on her own though, we keep the doors shut that lead to the stairs, so she can try as much as she likes but she can't reach that handle.
