Reasons I am glad we homeschool: Cheating on tests - Blog Entry

There are no European restrictions in Cymru, where as there are in England and N.I a bit like being part of the UN and not having to follow a single rule.Compulsory exams aren't written by the government, non-compulsories are written by a teacher of the same subject at a different school or centre of education, such as a local college or university.

No I'm not, where did I state that I was refering to an education system outside of my own? We one teacher at our school that taught in NJ, there the exam system was even stricter than ours, the students weren't even allowed to use their own pens incase something was inside.

Lady even the teachers don't know whats on the tests, no one in the whole country does apart from the head examiner until that paper is placed infront of the student and they open it. Every student is searched and every item they have on their persons is checked before they are allowed in the exam hall.

In our house our dining room is also used as a playroom, so one of our walls has some different paints on, one is blackboard paint, one is magnetic paint and one is a light green that turns dark green when you touch it. We play about with that loads, before the solstice this year we all painted some paints together, well Pippa slapped paint covered mits on hers.

Father Furious After 9-Year-Old Daughter is Accused of Selling "Drugs" at School - Blog Entry

It isn't just illegal drugs that students aren't allowed to carry here, it is all drugs. You have to have a letter from your parent/guardian on how and when to take any medication and they have to be stored in the nurses office or with reception. The reason is is that if anything happens to the child carrying the medication or another child, it is that childs form teachers responsibility, even if the student were 18. So if it were something like paracetomol and a student took too many and became ill or died, it would be me in prison, so I can see the paranoia for medication, but not for cough sweets and then humiliating the child. Cough and throat sweets are allowed at our school as long as the ingredients have been checked to make sure there aren't any painkillers such as paracetomol, you'd be surprised how many students have allergies to medications, including vitamin tablets so it is our duty to protect them.

You can buy degradeable nappie bags, as far as carrier bags for food shopping goes, we keep ours in the boot of our car, if we forget to take them in we wait until we are at the car to pack all of our stuff.
