Does Your Toddler Stink?

19 Aug 2009 04:22 AM

I don't get like, the obsession with toddlers being all done up (hence Pippa wearing boys clothes), as long as they are clean, I don't see the need to add anything else unless it is a special occasion. Older, when it is something the kids want then yes consider it, or just catch your five year old absolutely covering himself in deodorant!

We don't have any wells here, they aren't legal due to poor filtration of water, our water rates are £12 a month.

Do you pay by how much water you use? Here in the UK most people are on water rates, which means you pay a set amount for your water no matter how much you use. You can get water meters here so you pay for the actual amount you use, but unless you are in a two person house water rates are far cheaper.

Angry Dad Uses Pizza to Punish Kid

I don't understand why it is illegal to hit a child with a slice of pizza, which wont hurt in the slightest, but it is perfectly legal to hit children with your hands which is painful.

Preserving the Handiwork of Your Ancestors

In the UK property is often passed down, my parents home has been in the family for just over 500 years. Here it tends to work like this, the first child in the family to have their own children receive their maternal grand parents home upon them passing away, if they pass away before the birth of any great grand children the oldest sibling receives the house.

Also I forgot to say, if you have siblings in the school you have photo's taken with them as well, or your siblings who are too young to attend school can come into school to have a sibling photo done.

They are quite cheap this year Mikey's were £20 for four small 5x7 inch photos which came with frames and little cards to put them in, here a lot of people add them to christmas cards for family, and two 8x12 came in frames with the school name, class and year on.

Here, everyone sits in the same place for a formal photo to be taken, one of the whole class, one of just the student, no stupid poses, they look common and unprofessional. You have them done every year, if your mum/dad decides to send you to school scruffy, dirty or with an item of uniform missing you can have a single photo taken but you must either go home and change or use school spares for the class photo. We don't have year books here.

What's Wrong with Young Marriages?

It is very common here for people to be married well before they are 21, all my friends from school are married now, the oldest was 22 when he got married.
