12 Ways Staying Home Saves Money - Blog Entry

How ironic! I literally just commented on another article saying how riding a bike and cooking my own food is not only cheaper, but more creative and fun!

Also, head to the farmer's market for their end of day deals and get cash back for absolutely must-buy items (like hotels, flights, clothes) at Ebates.com. It's not a hoax and if you don't check your balance all the time it's amazing how it adds up.

I recently started writing down how much I spend on everything...literally...and found that I could cut out alot of expenses. After doing this for just a month, I found it's actually kind of fun to get creative. Here's some things I traded out:

1. Riding my bike when I can instead of driving 2. Making my own salsa and pizza 3. Go to your farmer's market towards the last 30 mins they're running. Most vendors would rather discount fruits/veggies than throw them away.

I know these are little expenses, but they add up. I also have started using Ebates.com for items that I absolutely have to buy. At least, I can get cash back for these items. I only check my balance once a month (for fun). It's amazing that it actually does add up!
