They reveal so much more about a particular memory or event than a posed picture. I have also found that capturing my family in its most candid moments are always my favorite pictures in the end. As opposed to accumulating hundreds of photo albums or storing photos in boxes that nobody in your family will ever look at, digital photos and technology like iphoto allow you to organize and store you photos on your computer! These are some great suggestions as to how to gain some sort of control over an overwhelming amount of photos. Another great idea that I have found is making digital photo slideshows. This forces your to use only those pictures that are the best ones for the slideshow, and if you feel like you can do it, get rid of the rest! Another issue I'm sure a lot of people are facing is the hundreds of old photos that are taking up spaces in old photo albums or boxes. What most people don't know is that there is a great service that will scan all of your old pictures into digital form...what a great way to store pictures and get rid of the boxes of photos that you have put away in storage!
