Hi, all, just thought I would drop in a quick note about my recent lack of noting. Not that I have been overly consistant here, but I had bigger plans for this journal; sigh. Anyway, my new calling as second counselor in the Relief Society means that I have the responsibility for the RS dinner - which we are holding this upcoming Friday - so I have been insanely crazy busy.

Yes, yes, I've been slack. Things have been insanely chaotic. You would think we would have a routine down by now, but the fact that we are sometimes at home in the motorhome and sometimes on the road makes it difficult. This week, with the "winter storm" hitting Pennsylvania, we decided to go with dh on the road.

Yesterday I took a shower for the first time in the motorhome. Never fear, I wasn't not showering for two weeks. I've just been utilizing the bath houses at various campgrounds. Browsing and I found this thread...the ones that bug me the most are from family.
Alfie Kohn. I would love to see your take on any of his books. Really, I am just wanting to discuss them with ANYONE, LOL.

This is an interesting thread to me because I was just sorting out how many activities I want to enroll my kids in. Right now, my oldest is only 7, so I do want to keep it simple.
Kara, if you have a few years, then you are in really good shape. I started researching homeschooling when my oldest was 3.
Thanks for the feedback. I think the thing that worries me is our experience with the summer reading program at the library.
I registered for Book-It last year at some point, and am trying to decide now whether or not to actually participate. It doesn't help that I've been reading Alfie Kohn over the last few weeks.
Thanks guys!
Hi, guys! I had a question asked of me by a Seminary student, and I was wondering if anyone knew a talk off the top of their head I could give her for a little more feedback on the subject.
My visiting teaching companion is a sweet and wonderful woman. Two of her children - her daughter and her son - are going into the MTC next week on the same day.
"Beautiful testimony, Tristi."
"I was just thinking about this the other day, Andrea."
