Thanks! Random Tips on Teaching Art and Art History - Blog Entry04 Oct 2007 06:48 PM Thanks for the tips. I know what you mean; last year, our "big" present for our 5 and 3 year old was a huge pack of construction paper. Not the most consumer-christmas oriented present (LOL), but they were thrilled and it fell under the most-used present. When you let them, kids love to create! Thanks for the art site! On the way to check it out! Why Homeschool?: Personalization - Blog Entry30 Sep 2007 06:30 PM Awesome blog; it touches on one of my favorite things about homeschooling. Keep up the great work! I Just Threw Away $200 - Blog Entry30 Sep 2007 06:01 PM On a side note, our library offers RS for free; I haven't really looked into it yet b/c my kids are so young, but it's interesting to note that you can find it at a free location in some areas. The biggest perk to this (IMO) is that it helps my kids develop the one thing I really wanted to cultivate with homeschooling - a lifetime love of learning. The worst times are when I have to stop my kids in the middle of something because we have to go somewhere or do something else, LOL. The Newest Genre of Homeschooling Parent - Blog Entry19 Sep 2007 05:45 PM Great blog, Val (as usual!). I appreciate your thoughts. While I hadn't really lined things up in my mind, I have noticed that many homeschoolers seem to be following the aforementioned trend. I, too, am trying my hand at no curriculum, though I can see where some of the lure might be.
