Working on the RS Dinner

Hi, all, just thought I would drop in a quick note about my recent lack of noting. Not that I have been overly consistant here, but I had bigger plans for this journal; sigh. Anyway, my new calling as second counselor in the Relief Society means that I have the responsibility for the RS dinner - which we are holding this upcoming Friday - so I have been insanely crazy busy.

Slack but Here!

Yes, yes, I've been slack. Things have been insanely chaotic. You would think we would have a routine down by now, but the fact that we are sometimes at home in the motorhome and sometimes on the road makes it difficult.   This week, with the "winter storm" hitting Pennsylvania, we decided to go with dh on the road.

Funny Smelling Water and Cramped Showers

Yesterday I took a shower for the first time in the motorhome. Never fear, I wasn't not showering for two weeks. I've just been utilizing the bath houses at various campgrounds. However, at the campground we are currently staying in, I went in to take a shower the other day and as soon as I turned on the water, I realized it had an odor. Um, water is not supposed to have an odor.

Sitting on the Floor to Type

1 December 2006 - yes, that is today! All other dates will be current! It is almost ten and I am sitting on the floor in the bathroom, typing in my journal here. One thing I didn't anticipate was the slimming down of my time on the computer when we moved into the motorhome. Yes, I anticipated less personal time, but I guess I didn't translate that into less time online, which is odd.

First Day Out

17 November 2006 Well, it is official: living in the motorhome is officially just like living at home. Okay, that's not a true statement, but I don't know why when I expected a change, I thought everything would be different. I sent my husband to the store today with a list, and he still picked up the wrong things.

On the Road

I'm going to go ahead and add some 'introductory' entries that I already wrote! 16 November 2006 We have left the building! As of 10:45 this morning, we are officially living in our motorhome. We packed up our belongings last night - actually, I did the final (as well as most of the original) packing, staying up until 5 this morning. Then we got up at 6:30 and tried to leave.
