Working on the RS Dinner

Hi, all, just thought I would drop in a quick note about my recent lack of noting. Not that I have been overly consistant here, but I had bigger plans for this journal; sigh. Anyway, my new calling as second counselor in the Relief Society means that I have the responsibility for the RS dinner - which we are holding this upcoming Friday - so I have been insanely crazy busy. I was hoping to do a little better this week, but this is the last week, and I am running around trying to get everything done. Today, I went to three different stores looking for posterboard in the color I wanted (16 sheets in royal blue, the RS color!) and stamps the way I wanted (I was going to settle for yellow but since I had to go to another store, I decided to wait, and subsequently found gold!). So the posters will be in the right colors, but I am exhausted.

Thankfully, there are some great women in the branch who are helping, not hte least of which is my RS presidency. So please don't take this to mean I am doing it "all on my own". But since I had that, and two lessons to teach last week (RS AND sunday school), and one this week (just SUnday School; never marry the SS President), I am still going nuts.

The bright spot of the week is that I am going to the temple with some sisters from the RS - two of the four other women are the RS President and First Counselor. I am really looking forward to that, and since the dinner is the night before, I will have a major load of stress off my mind there. I am still working on ill feelings towards dh for dropping the lesson on me (again) when he knows I am majorly stressed out. Then again, the lesson this week is about how the burden of Christ is light. I am going to post the scripture study from today in tomorrow, at some point. I hope. I need to do the RS/EQ lesson, too; it is a great lesson by President Kimball, but I am just worn out. I need to take a shower, and then I'm going to bed. Did I mention that dh will be out of town almost this entire week? Probably lucky for him.

I've been looking forward to a hot shower while the kids are out cold all day, so I'm out of here. I'll try to do better about posting the SS and RS lessons this week, but I feel like my brain is falling out of my ears, I'm trying to do so much. At least we got to the grocery store today, LOL.
