Getting Help With Your Garage Sale - Blog Entry

Pat I had never thought of that before. I have never had any problems, and I usually have two or three with me. But then we always sit together and our viewpoint is central to all the activity, so i guess we combat it that way. I can see how if you had several roaming people, how easily that could become an issue. Thank you for the advice.

Remembering The Memories - Blog Entry

It's ashame that more people don't spend time writing things down. Even a quickly jotted note on a piece of paper is better than locking it in your brain where it will eventually be forgotten.

Ratatouille (2007) - Blog Entry

10 Jul 2007 10:55 AM

We absolutely loved this movie. Of course all of my children are between the ages of 8 and almost 13. Plus nobody here is at all squeamish of rats, though I will admit I would rather not find one in my kitchen thank you very much! I have always loved Pixar movies as it seems their animations get better with each movie. While Ratatouille is no Bugs Life, it sure was a cute story with a happy ending and loads of action for kids - at least kids my children's ages.

Teachers Use Harry Potter to Teach Science - Blog Entry

10 Jul 2007 10:06 AM

What a great way to get children reading and interested in Science. I really think people need to remember that the stories are simply that - stories. Harry Potter is just the imagination of an author. I think it's great that teacher's are using that to their advantage. There are also other teaching resources out there (teacher's books, etc.) that can be found at Teacher stores, that have other ways to use Harry Potter in the classroom. At least there are teacher's out there trying to make teaching fun.

Tips for Surviving Divorce with Children - Blog Entry

I don't have much to add to that, except that I can completely relate and agree. I don't exactly consider any of my sacrifices made for my children - as suffering, because if they make their life better - I am not suffering. I do however believe that everything we do should be done with the children's interest and well being in mind. There is so much more to discuss, and hopefully our Single Parenting bloggers will tackle it! :)

Thanks Michele! And yes, taking a good camera to the beach can be such a horrible idea. Sand, water....you name it. I just learned that unless there is a way to keep the camera away from the elements, get a disposable!
