Can You Be Too Frugal (2) - Blog Entry

I understand lucky. I think the reasons for anyone living a frugal lifestyle are as individual as we each are. Stretching money is a huge reason why I am frugal - however, stretching money is essentially saving money, even if you do use it for something else. Believe you me, there are dozens of reasons to be frugal, and these are just two that touch the tip. :)

You girls are adorable! I sure wish you could both come visit me, you would be welcomed with open arms! I am getting a brand new scrapbook room in our new home (we are selling our home currently) and when I do, I plan to have lots of scrapbooking times with friends. You two would be top of my list - now....how far is it to Missouri from.....

Calendar of Strange Holidays and Other Events for Scrapbooking In December - Blog Entry

As a teacher I collected these for so long and always wondered what I'd use them for after I was finished teaching. Well now with a large family and lots of fun family time, we turn these holidays into a giggle fest (because frankly, fess up - some are darn right weird!) and we just enjoy each other's company! I love stuff like this and incorporating it into your scrapbooking is even better. Especially when it's a day like: National Disgusting Little Pumpkin-Shaped Candies Day (see October 28!) and everyone in your household loves them and we must have eight bags of them! LOL Imagine my scrapbook layout for that day! ha!

Diane that's an incredible stash for so fast! I really do need to get the hang of all this so that I can post photos of my stash too. With seven of us it would save some serious money if I could create stashes like that!

Glassware, Candles, Bowls, Baskets - all can be used seasonally with different items to make them decorative all year. I love white candles and you are totally right, they are perfect for year round decorating.

I love using common household items to decorate. People forget that you can always dress up the normal things they have and change them seasonally to make them useful and decorative all year long.

That's a terrific idea Jody! I love having photos everywhere and it's an easy way to decorate without having knick knacks everywhere and being cluttered. I love displaying collections as much as the next person but I try to do so that it doesn't appear to be so cluttered. Great ideas!

How To Price Scrapbook Supplies at a Garage Sale (1) - Blog Entry

Anita it is actually anything and everything you have that you don't need or want to get rid of. I have a modge podge of stuff in my scrapbook room like old papers, decorative scissors and punches that I don't use anymore. I have thrown bits and pieces in each garage sale I've had and wound up making a bundle on them. I'm sure you could sell merchandise from a home business but definitely would NOT get your investment back - in fact not even close.

This is just mainly extra stuff in your scrap room.
