We were one of the lucky ones. When I homeschooled my son, our district just let us be. I eventually put him back in school and was terrified that it was going to be a problem, but was lucky it wasn't. However, during the long course of homeschooling, we met many other parents who's districts were less accomodating. Many struggled to get their children back in school. Many struggled to prove to the district that their children were learning. Keeping careful records is key!

Bonnie, ANYONE who's searching should have one. Sorry I didn't clarify that. I'm writing from an adoptee's perspective, but with a search notebook - anyone in the triad should have one. You need to record every step of your search. When the reunion finally occured my b-mom loved seeing all that I had done. (of course the records are to keep track of stuff, she was just interested). LOL

Andrea, those paper folders are awful. The plastic ones are the most sturdy folders ever. I hope they do that with some other school supplies (make them better and last longer).

Agreed. Terrible idea and not recommended. I had a friend who utilized these services often. In on year's time he blew far more than $1000 just in fee's! That's nuts if you ask me!

Nail polish really can be used for anything. LOL Ok so not anything, but it has a lot of uses! I loved all the ideas you shared, thank you! If anyone makes anything using nail polish, I want to see - post it in the gallery! :)
